The Okanagan Hockey School is the longest running school in the world, currently in its 47th consecutive year of operation. Since 1963, the focus has been, and will continue to be, to provide leading edge, top quality hockey instruction in a positive, supportive environment combining to make an enjoyable hockey camp experience.
Our goal is to treat each player as an individual and to encourage the development and refinement of their potential hockey skills through the implementation of a comprehensive hockey instructional program. The program does not stop with on-ice instruction, but encompasses the newest off-ice training techniques and equipment that focus on core-strength exercises, shooting skills refinement at our synthetic ice skill center, DVD instructional materials and motivational speakers on positive reinforcement.
Based on our philosophies, we have helped players from all Canadian provinces and territories, all US states, and 27 different countries to meet their goals, whether it to be to play in the National Hockey League, make a rep team or to further enjoy hockey at a recreational level.
This year we have five summer hockey school locations, with all of them offering unprecedented vacation opportunities. Penticton and Kelowna, British Columbia are in the heart of the Okanagan Valley where sun, beaches, orchards, vineyards and golf courses are plentiful. We also have partnerships with the Calgary Flames, Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers running camps in each respective city. Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta have many things to offer including hosting the world famous Calgary Stampede, home to the renowned West Edmonton Mall, flying fishing in the Bow River and being an hour away from the Rocky Mountains, Banff and Lake Louise.
Please accept this as our personal invitation to join us at the Okanagan Hockey School for an un-equaled truly international hockey experience.
Sincerely,
Dixon Ward
