The Okanagan School of Officiating

Kozari Officiating School will be held July 11-15, 2011. We are a one of a kind development and exposure camp to aspiring professional ice hockey officials. The students and staff at our school are responsible for the on and off ice officiating of the Pacific Summer Showcase of the world renowned Okanagan Hockey School ( Est. 1963).

Our camp instructional staff boasts current Full time NHL Referees and Linesman, WHL Officials and Supervisors, as well as Supervisors from Hockey BC.

Kozari Officiating School is also proud to be a leader in Power Skating Instruction for Ice Hockey Officials as well as the first to utilize state of the art technology in our all of our Evaluating, Feedback and Reporting to our students.

 

 

Head Instructor
Steve Kozari, NHL Official

Steve is a current National Hockey League official, having been a member of the NHLOA since the 2003-2004 season. Steve has reffed in 121 professional games in his career. Prior to joining the professional ranks, Steve spent 10 years officiating in the Western Hockey League, including the 2003 Memorial Cup Final. Steve was also the recipient of the 2002-2003 Allen Paradice Memorial Trophy as the Top Official in the WHL.

  • On-ice- Power skating, 4-man Positioning and Fitness Tests
  • Off-ice - Gym / Dry Land Training Daily and a unique training experience.
  • Officiate daily, video recorded and discussed in Lecture.
  • Post game Evaluations by NHL Official.
  • Daily DVD based, Video Analysis and Rule Interpretations Scenarios
  • Officiating Recruits / Scouts in Attendance.
  • Full week Camp with 10 hour days.
  • Registration: Open to both male and female 14 years of age or older.
