Hockey is comprised of a series of one-on-one battles. There are battles in the corners, battles along the walls, battles in the faceoff dots and battles in front of the net. The team that wins the battles generally wins the game. Coaches and scouts always consider how a player competes and battles when evaluating them. Learn what it takes to compete and win those inportant battles.
Requirements
- Player should be playing contact hockey in 2013
- Willing to compete at a high level
- Birth Years 1999-2002
Program Highlights
- Learn how to:
- Win one-on-one battle
- Control the puck along the boards
- Battle for loose pucks
- Check and battle safely and with respect for your opponent
- 2.5 hours ice time daily
- Game situation drills
- Daily strength and conditioning to focus on:
- Core strength
- Agility and quickness
- Classroom sessions with specific topics
