Penticton is situated in the South Okanagan, only 40 miles from the US border at Oroville, Washington and 250 miles east of Vancouver. Penticton is an excellent holiday destination featuring beautiful sandy beaches, surrounded by fruit orchards, vineyards and mountains.

Getting to Penticton
The City of Penticton is part of the Okanagan Valley, located in the south central interior of Canada’s most western province, beautiful British Columbia. Penticton is situated 64.4 km (40 mi.) south of Kelowna; 420 km (261 mi.) east of Vancouver; and 670 km (416 miles) west of Calgary.
Penticton sits between two glistening, fresh water lakes. The north end of Penticton borders Okanagan Lake, the largest fresh-water lake in British Columbia. The south end of Penticton sits on the beautiful beaches of Skaha Lake.
Driving to Penticton
There are several highways that lead to Penticton.
Driving from Vancouver, visitors can take the Coquihalla (Highway #5), which is a four-lane divided freeway that is an easy drive through the west coast mountains. Or visitors can travel along the Hope/ Princeton route (Highway 3A), which has one lane in each direction.
Both the Coquihalla and Hope / Princeton route, lead to the Okanagan Connector (Highway 97C), which leads directly into Penticton, BC.

Driving from Calgary, visitors can take one of two routes. For the Northern Route, take Highway #1 to Sicamous, then Highway #97A and Highway #97 south through Kelowna and into Penticton. For the Southern Route, take Highway #22 south to Highway #3. Go west on Highway #3 to Osoyoos, then take Highway #97 north to Penticton.
Flying to Penticton
Several airlines offer flights directly to Penticton or to neighbouring Kelowna, which is only a one-hour drive away by car or shuttle bus. Check flight schedules with Air Canada Jazz, WestJet and Horizon Air for flights arriving and departing from Penticton Regional Airport and Kelowna International Airport.
